About Us

Mission & Vision

Love God. Love People.

Four simple words that have the power to shake the world to its very foundation.

NWTCC’s mission is to live as faithful, productive servants of Jesus Christ and to help the lost of this world come to know Him.  All of our activities and efforts should be driven by a passionate desire to fulfill this mission.

We are not a Church made up of perfect people and we freely confess that we are all, in one way or another, broken; we’ve all sinned and failed at one time or another.  We know, however, that we are made whole and perfect by our Savior, who willingly sacrificed his life so we could have a relationship with God.  We are saved only through grace.  We don’t work in His kingdom to earn our way into Heaven, no number of good deeds could ever be enough.

Instead, we do it out of love and gratitude to Jesus and the magnificent gift of Salvation that’s been freely given to us as Christians.

We hold fast to the Bible, and recognize it as nothing less than the inspired Word of God.  Christ is the head of the Church, and the teaching found in the Bible shows us how we can serve Him and learn what His will is for our lives.
As a Church family at Northwest Tampa, we love and support each other as we try to become more like Jesus every day.  We share in each other’s trials, failures, and tears while we also celebrate joy, happiness and victories.

Love God. Love People.
It’s time to shake the world.

Beliefs

We believe in one God who is eternal, invisible, immortal and omnipotent. We believe that He sent his son, Jesus Christ, to earth to become the Word and to serve as a sacrifice to atone for the sins of all mankind. Jesus was crucified and was resurrected after 3 days. Believing in Him and obeying his Gospel message is the only path to eternal salvation. Jesus is the head of the church and we are members of His church body. The Gospel of Christ is the good news of salvation that he brought to us and He wants us to share that gospel with every human being throughout the world.

To obey the Gospel, you must hear the Word of God and have faith that Jesus is His son and that Jesus died on the cross so that all might overcome sin and have the opportunity for eternal life in heaven. You must repent of your past sins with the intention of trying to improve your life by following Jesus's teachings and examples. You must acknowledge Jesus before others and be baptized (immersed in water) to wash your sins away. Having done these things, you (a new person) have been added to the Lord's church. You may be identified as a member of our congregation by informing one of our shepherds (elders) or other church leaders that you would like to do so.
